It’s been a few years since I’ve performed/acted on-stage. The last time I did was for Henry V … an extensive Dreamwell Theatre production back in the summer of 2011. 🙂
I consider this production to be an… eminent storm of theatrical performers! 🙂 An “Oh My God… these guys are in the cast?”… sort of thing. Considering the actors and the “…Judas Iscariot” script… this will be a “Cannot miss!” type of show. Really… you simply will have to attend. It’s THAT GOOD!. 🙂
The Last Days of Judas Iscariot tells the story of a court case over the ultimate fate of Judas Iscariot. The play uses flashbacks to an imagined childhood, and lawyers who call for the testimonies of such witnesses as Mother Teresa, Caiaphas, Saint Monica, Sigmund Freud, and Satan.
Guess who plays “Satan” in the Dreamwell show? Yeah! It’s me. 🙂 I am “jazzed” on several levels for this production:
- Finally… Matt Brewbaker (Director) and I will FINALLY do a show together! Honestly, Matt and I have been chatting about doing a play together for quite some time. Due to Matt’s intensive schedule… it has taken several years to finally make this happen. As an “aside”… the entire cast should be rather “jazzed” that Nika Tipword will be Matt Brewbaker’s Assistant Director for this performance… honestly, she knows her stuff. 🙂
- The Awesome Cast! This cast contains a handful of “Dreamwell” veterans: Chuck Dufano, Brian Tanner, Scott Strode, June Kungu, Sharon Falduto, John Crosheck, Jessica Murillo and Bethany Horning. Honestly, if I was only running the sound-board or lights for this show… I’d consider myself grateful for the experience!
- The show runs from Sept. 6, 7, 13, and 14 at the Unitarian Universalist Society Church… 10 S. Gilbert St. Iowa City. Stay in-touch with Dreamwell Theatre for the exact times for each evenings show.
